Tests metal sheet in the engineering practice

The thesis presents the theoretical summary of tests metal sheets, which are used in industrial practice. Based on the literature study of cold metal forming was performed Erichsen test which tested body sheets DC06 + ZE, CR340LA + GI / GA50-U, CR300LA + GI / GA50-U. From the test result showed that all sheets are suitable for forming, as indicated by the supplier. It was designed product for testing thin sheets.

Testing bonded steel sheet coated with zinc

The aim of this master´s thesis is the design chosen for testing bonded joints on the specified galvanized steel sheet in laboratory conditions and obtaining parameters of bonded joints for application in industrial practice. Basic tests for testing bounded joints were presented in the work. Subsequently, two tests were selected and verified in laboratory conditions. The result of these tests are specific numerical values that were compared with values gained during tests linking method clinch.

Production of air filter cover

The thesis is concerned with the concept of an air filter cover production .The component has a cylindrical shape with a circular protrusion and a hole in the bottom. It is made of a steel sheet 11 320 with the thickness 1 mm. Considering the production volume of 20,000 units per year, it was chosen as the most suitable pulling technology with a conventional tool without wall thinning. The component needs to be pulled in two operations, each time a retainer has to be used. The tool for each operation is separate. Technical drawing documentation is processed for the second tool. Due to the calculated force, the ŽĎAS CTH 250 hydraulic press with a nominal force of 2,500 kN was chosen. The economic evaluation shows that the production material cost for one piece is about 42 CZK. The cost of the second stroke tool is 260,000 CZK.
